Make A Wooden Handled Silver Spoon
One-day course on making a silver spoon with a wooden handle, learning both silversmithing and wood carving techniques along the way.
We are very excited to introduce our first collaborative workshop here at The Smiddy. In this one day taster session you will learn how to create a silver spoon with a wooden handle under instruction from Silversmith Megan Falconer and Woodworker Louise Forbes. You will learn how to create your own bespoke spoon using traditional methods of silversmithing such as press forming, soldering and saw piercing and traditional wood working techniques including wood carving, sanding and finishing. At the end of the day workshop you will leave with your beautiful new spoon.
