Linzi Clark born in the historic textile town of Paisley, the singer-songwriter has been building her legacy from a young age, soaking up inspiration from the people and places around her and channelling her experiences into beautifully crafted songs that soar and yearn with love, warmth and curiosity. Having already made an indelible impact on the Scottish music scene as one of half electro-pop duo DRIFT, the singer is ushering in an auspicious new chapter of her musical story with the announcement of new solo material. Brining her own unique individual talents to the forefront once and for all, the new project presents her in an entirely different light – pairing her deep, soulful vocals with striking arrangements that balance the rich storytelling tradition of artists like Julia Jacklin, Regina Spektor and Kate Bush with modern Americana hues. Rachel Jack Despite launching her musical career at the beginning of the pandemic, Scottish singer-songwriter Rachel Jack is tour de force. With no industry contacts, no established fanbase and a lack of opportunity to showcase her music during lockdowns, the Aberdeenshire based artist has worked tirelessly to establish herself as one of the rising stars of the Scottish music scene. In little over a year, Jack released 2 Ep’s – her 5 track acoustic debut ‘The Calgary Tapes’, and a 4-track electro-pop offering ‘Magazine Girls’ with former classmate and collaborator Dunt (Stanley Odd) Rhona Macfarlane is a singer-songwriter from North East Scotland whose reflective, vulnerable story telling casts a spell over her audiences. Her songs are personal, honest, and intimate and recall a range of influences including Joni Mitchell, The Blue Nile, Nick Drake, John Martyn and Rufus Wainwright. A graduate in classical violin from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland she is a versatile musician performing with guitar or piano, often introducing new sounds with the addition of string arrangements. Rhona’s live talent has previously resulted in support slots for a range of artists such as Josh Rouse, Rory Butler, Nell Bryden, Chloe Foy, Martha Reeves, a mini tour with The Sound of Sirens. She has also performed at Celtic Connections, Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, Eden Festival, Esk Fest and played the acoustic stage for Scottish artists at the Country-to-Country Festival at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow.
