Light the Blue: Making Space
The Lemon Tree
5 West North Street
An evening of new work by emerging artists. Making Space is a residency programme run by Scottish Youth Theatre in partnership with Aberdeen Performing Arts. The programme offers emerging artists aged 18-25 the opportunity to develop their own theatre piece.
Rachel is a director and producer from Aberdeen. After graduating from Nescol she has directed and produced several short films. She is now finishing her drama studies at UHI in Inverness. Making Space will allow the creation of ‘Windows’ a scratch performance exploring media in theatre and it’s manipulation of modern society.
Niamh is a performance student from Aberdeen with a passion for devising. She is currently studying at North East Scotland College and is going on to complete her degree at University of West Scotland.
Niamh will use her residency to create a solo performance based around Feminism and Equality, with the goal of entertaining and inspiring a wide audience, particularly young women.
