Haddo has been home to the Gordon family for over 550 years however, people had been living in the park for thousands of years before that.
On this walk you will learn about the history of Haddo from the stone age right up to the modern era. From ancient curses to the battle of Waterloo; from
marriage at gun point to a Victorian prime minister, the history of Haddo has been long and checkered.
The tour will be approximately 2 hours long and will cover the story of the park throughout history.
Please wear suitable clothing for a walk around the park, this tour involves quite a lot of walking.
Everyone is welcome, although we would ask that children are accompanied by an adult.
Haddo has been inhabited for thousands of years, from neolithic farmers and bronze age hoards to the Gordon earls of Aberdeen and a curse from the Middle Ages. Join us for a walk through the history and stories of Haddo Country Park.

The walk starts at the visitor centre at the end of the stables and lasts about an hour and a half.
