Can you spot Guthrie the Goose with his friends and the ‘Goose Girl’ in Gallery 1? Each month Guthrie playfully introduces our youngest visitors to a different artwork or theme. Sessions can include music, dance, games and (sometimes messy) crafts.

Come and enjoy story time, sensory play and crafting as we explore our seaside-themed displays.

Degas’ dancers
Take a closer look at the ballerina sculpture by Degas and then limber up for a playful movement session with dance tutor Rosie Mackley.

Say hello to Guthrie
Guthrie introduces us to one of his favourite artworks, To Pastures New by James Guthrie. Together we’ll explore this painting through movement, songs, games and stories.

Fun with fabric
Discover what happens when you cut, wet or shine a light on different materials. Play with weaving structures and paint with wool!
