Gordie Tentrees & Jaxon Haldane
Folk, blues and Americana from Tentrees with fellow Canadian Jaxon Haldane on banjo, mandolin, cigar-box guitar and bowed saw.
Gordie Tentrees's home base, in Canada's remote Yukon territory, can't be the easiest place to tour from, but the Ontario-born singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist must have the logistics down pat by now, thanks to steadily increasing demand for his richly melodic, grittily insightful ballads.
Forging a rugged yet tautly crafted alloy of folk, blues and Americana, driven by vivid narratives and empathy for society's underdogs, Tentrees released his sixth album, *Less Is More*, in 2015. Together with his own musicianship on dobro, harmonica and guitar, he's joined by fellow Canadian Jaxon Haldane on banjo, mandolin, cigar-box guitar and bowed saw.
