Scottish rock group active in the 80s and 90s.

Legendary Scottish band Goodbye Mr. Mackenzie released their debut album, Good Deeds And Dirty Rags, in 1989. The album peaked at number 16 in the U.K. album charts back in the days when that meant hard, physical sales rather than online plays and downloads, and was widely critically acclaimed with AllMusic describing the album as an 'excellent debut that draws from Bowie, Scott Walker influences, yet maintains its own identity'. Full of classic songs such as 'The Rattler', 'Candlestick Park' and 'Goodbye Mr. Mackenzie' the album remains an excellent, timeless record.

Now Goodbye Mr. Mackenzie have reformed for a short run of dates to celebrate the 30th birthday of Good Deeds And Dirty Rags. In a statement announcing the first confirmed shows in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen Goodbye Mr. Mackenzie stated that 'The band is very happy to announce we are reforming to perform our Good Deeds and Dirty Rags UK chart album in its entirety, said the band in a statement. This album was a very important part of our lives and we're looking forward to doing it justice on stage again.'

Due to huge demand from a loyal fanbase additional dates have now been announced including Dundee. This is a rare and special chance to hear and witness an exceptional band playing an exceptional record live. As anniversaries go this is one which is well worth celebrating.
