Short, four-day course on linocut printmaking with Ade Adesina.
A Short Course Extra opportunity to spend 4 days learning linocut printmaking with Ade Adesina.
This course is suitable for beginners and offers an introduction to linocut techniques and process.
A linocut printmaking course. Working on lino blocks, students will be experimenting and developing new skills in cutting lino.
Day 1
Morning: An hour talk on linocut printmaking technique with some samples of Ade Adesina's work and inspiration. Introduction of samples of work showing different linocut techniques.
Demonstration. Cutting and printing of a sample linocut block.
Afternoon: Opportunity for students to familiarise themselves with the tools and a trial of an A5 lino block
Day 2
Morning: Printing of trial A5 lino blocks.
Develop an idea for an A4 lino block.
Afternoon: Cutting and printing of A4 lino block.
Day 3
Morning: Demonstration of different techniques on how to get various widths, texture, depth and reduction process etc.

Drawing up an A4 lino block for final project

Cutting and printing of final project
