Fiddler on the Roof
Musical about Tevye, a poor dairyman, his wife Golde and their five daughters, set in their tight-knit Jewish community.
A fiddler on the roof? Sounds crazy, no? Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centres on Tevye, a poor dairyman, his wife, Golde, and their five daughters. In the centre of a colourful and tight‐knit Jewish community, Tevye attempts to maintain his religious and cultural traditions, as outside influences encroach upon the family’s lives. With iconic and beloved songs such as ‘Matchmaker’, ‘Sunrise, Sunset’ and ‘If I Were A Rich Man’, “Fiddler on the Roof” provides the perfect mix of humour and humanity ‐ and maybe even a few tears of sadness, joy and laughter! Touching audiences worldwide with its warmth and honesty, this unique, universal show is a cornerstone of musical theatre tradition.
