Often compared to Fairport Convention and other folk revival luminaries, Doghouse Roses have been described as 'our version of Gillian Welch and David Rawlings' by Americana Uk. They deliver songs which are intimate and warm, with Iona Macdonald’s honeyed voice complemented by Paul Tasker’s superb picking skills. Tasker’s virtuosity and Macdonald’s wonderfully versatile voice shine through and create their own harmonious theme…a highly effective contemporary sound drawing on folk, country and americana influences. **** R2 Magazine Joseph Parsons and Ross Bellenoit form the front end of the Joseph Parsons Band. Together since 2008, the pair have a sonically woven repertoire that spans seven studio and multiple live records. From Philadelphia & Louisiana, Joseph now lives in northern Germany and in normal times, performs over 100 shows a year solo, duo or with the JPB. The many JP recordings have always explored and looked at the world from a distance, using reflection to help understand our human condition. An exciting live act, Parsons & Bellenoit fuse rock, folk, jam, psychedelic genres.. Uncut Magazine (UK) rightfully calls him “something of a quiet revelation”. And Radio Bremen (DE) says of his music “dynamic, intense & intoxicating.”
