A concert of music associated with space, by Holst, Sibelius, Debussy and others.
The Deeside Orchestra will celebrate fifty years since the first manned spaceflight landed on the moon with a concert entitled 'The Sky at Night'. The programme will include classical music such as 'Jupiter' from Holst’s Planets, Offenbach’s 'A Trip to the Moon', Sibelius’s 'At the Castle Gate' (the theme tune for the astronomy programme The Sky at Night) and 'Clair de Lune' by Debussy. Other popular pieces will be music from Star Wars by John Williams and Moon River by Henri Mancini.
