Gift and Gather Together: Himmeli Ornaments : A Third Stage Event
Every culture has unique seasonal making traditions that brings people together. Believed to have originated from Northern Africa, the straw geometric mobile made its way through celebrations and gatherings up the continent, cementing itself in Finnish Christmas traditions with the Himmeli. We will create our own hanging straw ornaments, perfect for decorating your home this season.
Stephanie Fradette is the fibre artist behind the brand “Le Petit Moose”, a nod to her French-Canadian roots. The Aberdeenshire-based artist blends bold colours into her woven, knotted and tufted wall hangings, showcasing rich textures, contemporary design and craftsmanship.
There is a sliding scale ticket price for this event of £3 - £8. Please choose what you feel applies to you :
