Foundation workshop on how to properly glaze your pottery pieces, paying attention to different clay types and techniques.

Been to one of our pottery wheel throwing courses? or simply have work that you would like to glaze?...join us for a morning in the Ceramics workshop to access facilities, materials and have skilled tuition on hand.

Learn how to plan your glazing project by identifying different clay types and choosing the appropriate glaze for your work.

A mornings glazing session for students who have unglazed bisque fired work.

Having received a tutorial covering ceramic glazes and techniques, students will learn how to glaze their bisque fired work.

Using a variety of underglazes, oxides and glazes, students will develop an understanding of the glazing process, surface decoration and colour.

Students will learn glazing application techniques including pouring, dipping and brushing to create glossy, matte and textured surfaces.

Student's must bring along their bisque-fired work if it is not already at the art school.
