Taking place every five years since 1979 and now in its 9th edition, the British Art Show is widely acknowledged as the most important and ambitious recurrent exhibition of contemporary art produced in the UK. Against the stunning backdrop of the recently-redeveloped Aberdeen Art Gallery, and amongst the book shelves of Aberdeen Central Library, BAS9 presents the work of 33 acclaimed artists who are defining new directions in contemporary art.
