Sponsored by the Tunnell Trust Daniel Meszoly & Michelle Dierx, violins, Edward Keenan & Theodore Chung Lee, violas, Balazs Renczes & Madelyn Kowaldki, cellos. The Broen Ensemble is a young and exciting string ensemble based in Scotland, formed in 2017. They aim to perform works that are less well-known or rarely played, alongside more familiar masterpieces. In 2019 they won the Tunnell Trust Award and are coming to ACMC as part of a Tunnell Trust tour. The size of the group varies from quartet to large ensemble, allowing them to be more creative when choosing their repertoire. Members of the Ensemble also work with some of the best orchestras in the UK such as the Royal Northern Sinfonia, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, and the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.
