Chair Art and Ginny Russell Exhibition

Chair Art is a community project in its fifth year whereby members of the public are asked to decorate and donate an old chair which will then be sold for charity. This year the pupils of Braemar Primary school will be adding their creations to the exhibition. Anyone can get involved in painting, decorating or altering a chair in any way. For anyone wishing to decorate and donate a chair please contact Jane Smith.

The highly original and quirky artworks created by Ginny Russell out of found objects and recycled materials will also be on display. In 2016, her grandson Neil was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour at the age of 26. Neil became involved with the charity SHINE which supports young adults with cancer. Connecting with SHINE made a huge difference to Neil’s life, so Ginny wanted to give something back and came up with the idea of selling her artworks in aid of SHINE.

All proceeds from this exhibition will go to the charity 'Shine' which supports young adults with cancer.
