Banffshire Classic Cars Experience
The Rotary Club of Banff which has run a number of large events of this type is providing this opportunity on 3rd September 2017 from 11am to 5pm. The Classic Cars will be based at two locations in Banff and Portsoy approximately 8 miles apart and participants will be able to take a ride in one or two classic cars of their choice between the two locations.
The Historic Duff House provides the venue at the Banff end of the trip with the fascinating Portsoy Salmon Bothy providing the Portsoy venue (you can start at either Duff House or the Salmon Bothy). Between trips the cars will be parked at each location providing visitors a chance look at the cars talk with their owners and understand a little of their history. Many will have been lovingly restored to showroom condition providing a chance to see what these classics of the motor industry were like when first on the road. Refreshments will be available at both locations in the Duff House restaurant and upstairs at the Salmon Bothy.
There will be no charge for visiting either venue to see the cars although donations would be welcome, all of which will go to local organisations, together with UK and 'End Polio Now' charities. There is also no charge to take the return trip between locations in one or more of the classic cars but there is a minimum suggested donation of £5 per person to ride in the cars.
