Inverurie Churchyard Pictish Stones

At Inverurie Churchyard are four Class I Pictish stones, said to have been found built into the walls of the old parish church, which formerly stood in what is now the cemetery. The stones are not housed in a protective glass shelter within the graveyard, located between the Bass and the Little Bass.

The stones comprise: a pink granite stone, reshaped, bearing a disc & rectangle symbol and an arch; a pink granite slab decorated with a crescent & V-rod, disc & rectangle, serpent & Z-rod and double disc & Z-rod symbols; a pink granite stone, reshaped, incised with a double disc & Z-rod; and a pale pink granite stone incised with a horse in motion.

Limited on site parking, not suitable for coaches / buses.
