Kinneff Old Church, where the Scottish Crown Jewels were hidden from Oliver Cromwell's army and saved for the nation.

Kinneff Old Church, just north of Inverbervie  is where the Scottish Crown Jewels were hidden after they had been rescued from Dunnottar Castle during Oliver Cromwell's siege in 1652. They were buried in the Church for 9 years until the restitution of Charles ll.

The church is open daily and has a display which details the history of the Church and the Scottish Regalia, it  also contains details of graves in the churchyard and the history of the surrounding fishing villages.
