The Bothy
The perfect place to enjoy the sunrise. The Bothy is the perfect manifestation of our vision for Glen Dye.
It’s comfortable, characterful, and finished to the highest standard. In the garden, we’ve built an outdoor kitchen (made traditionally, using no nails) complete with a Green Egg barbecue and there’s a private Swedish wood-fired hot tub, too.
The Bothy sleeps two in a luxury king-sized bed. Beyond the bedroom there is an inviting kitchen, diner and lounge area and a bathroom with a shower. It sits adjacent to The Old Lodge which dates from the 1700s and is the oldest house on Glen Dye by some way.
You will have access to The Glen Dye Arms, our BYOB pub complete with a roaring log fire and a record player, and also to Garden Camp, our new shared recreation area. Here you will find some classic outdoor games, and a cozy indoor space with a wood-burning stove for rainy day activities. You can collect seasonal vegetables from the vegetable garden, subject to availability and the growing season, and eggs from our own hens. The Glen Dye General Stores is our tiny but well-stocked shop, where you will find local produce and excellent souvenirs as well as more prosaic stuff like dog poo bags etc.
If you haven’t already done so, don’t forget to book a private session in our state of the art electric sauna down at the Discovery and Adventure Centre. There’s a cold shower or cold water dip tanks there too, to complete the experience.

Cuttieshillock
An exceptional ancient stone house on the fringes of the forest. A detached house with a traditional cottage look fashioning two front doors that sleeps 6.
It has a large kitchen with a washing machine and tumble dryer, a dining room, a good-sized sitting room, a family bathroom upstairs and a loo downstairs. Plus, there’s a large outbuilding that we’ve converted in an artist’s/writer’s studio/hang out space complete with a wood burner. There is a private wood-fired sauna, complete with a cold shower for the full experience. There is also a private wood-fired hot tub.
Cuttieshillock is 4 miles from the main hub of Glen Dye and sits on the edge of the Glen Dye forest with amazing views and endless walks on your doorstep. And, when we say Cuttieshillock is ancient, we mean it. For centuries it was an inn, and troops rested there before battle in the Jacobite Rebellion (nearly 300 years ago).

The Hay Loft
A cottage perfect for four people. A truly beautiful cottage interior with an even more tremendous view.
Once upon a time this was, indeed, a hay loft and now the central feature of this exceptional small house is its picture-book sitting room window, which hay used to pass through to feed the cattle that lived a few metres away.
The Hay Loft has two double bedrooms, a large sitting and dining room, kitchen with a washer/dryer, two bathrooms, one loo and wet room and one with loo and bath. It also has an amazing outdoor area with a private wood-fired hot tub.

2 Steading Cottage
Our favourite house at The Steadings; a cosy colourful cottage with a great view.
Perhaps the most striking feature of this perfectly-formed house is the enormous sitting/dining room with its giant south-facing window where tractors once entered the building. There are two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and one with two small doubles.
There is a kitchen, a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer and a downstairs bathroom (as well as a second separate loo). At the back of the house is a private yard, which includes a wood-fired hot tub, a Big Green Egg and a Gozney pizza oven.
You will have access to The Glen Dye Arms, our BYOB pub complete with a roaring log fire and a record player, and also to Garden Camp, our new shared recreation area. The Coach House
Book the whole house for exclusive use, or book by the room as a bed-and-breakfast. This former toll house and resting/stabling place sits beside the original Bridge of Dye built in 1680.
It has been in continuous use since then, latterly as a farm house. In 2022, we revitalised the building and reinstated its original purpose. The Coach House now has five bedrooms and three bathrooms. It can be occupied by up to five different groups or individuals as a true B&B, or by one large group.
The Coach House is available for exclusive-use bookings on weekends, while weekdays are available for individual room bookings.
You’ll share a large, perfectly equipped kitchen with a washing machine and tumble dryer. A dining/sitting room with a jukebox, a sofa and plenty of other seating. The three bathrooms are shared and allocated to particular rooms. There is one family room, two double rooms and two twin rooms.
We have filled The Coach House with a revolving selection of important modern art which will initially include work by artists such as Peter Doig, Patrick Caulfield, Mali Morris, Ellie Davies, Michael Craig-Martin and more. You’ll also find a small library of carefully selected books on nature and food to browse.
There is an outside cooking and dining area, a wood-fired hot tub and a large garden. Breakfast is included with your stay. Further groceries are also available to pre-order.
You will have access to The Glen Dye Arms, our BYOB pub complete with a roaring log fire and a record player, and also to Garden Camp, our new shared recreation area. Here you will find some classic outdoor games, and a cozy indoor space with a wood-burning stove for rainy day activities. Gamekeeper's Cottage
Our newest holiday cottage. A three-bedroom house on the driveway of Glen Dye/North Lodge, overlooking the River Dye.
A simple but very beautifully located three-bedroom house that has one bathroom, a sitting room, a separate loo and a kitchen. Available by the room (one double, two twins) or as a whole house.
It has a beautiful south facing garden, looking over the River Dye. This is a place to rest your head after long days exploring the best of Glen Dye.
The art is great, the homewares are well-sourced and there is a good mix of modern, vintage and antique furniture.
But it is different to our other properties: the kitchen is fairly simple as is the bathroom; they work well and are clean and fresh. There will be no hot tub nor record player or Big Green Egg, there is a washing machine.
You will have access to The Glen Dye Arms, our BYOB pub complete with a roaring log fire and a record player, and also to Garden Camp, our new shared recreation area. Here you will find some classic outdoor games, and a cozy indoor space with a wood-burning stove for rainy day activities.
