At the gateway to majestic Royal Deeside and just a short distance from Aberdeen, Westhill is a small town with plenty going on. Westhill has rich archaeology with standing stones, enclosures and ring forts such as Barmekin and the Hill of Keir
In the town centre discover local shops including JK Fine Foods and Daisychain. Westhill Service Station is even bagging a name for itself as a local foodie hub thanks to Hop Shop Aberdeen, selling a whole range of local craft beers including BrewDog and Fierce.
And if you’re planning on dining out, Westhill has that covered too. Try Cones & Candy for tasty treats, The Shepherds Rest for a warming lunch or The Broadstraik Inn for a hearty evening meal.
Travel just a couple of miles out of Westhill to discover the beautifully peaceful, Loch of Skene. Enjoy a walk around the tranquil Loch and in spring/summer you might even spot the local yacht club sailing on the waters too.
Westhill also features a golf club, shopping centre, as well as the Westhill Gateway Public Art sculpture which celebrates the farming community of the town.
Just a 20 minute trip by car from Aberdeen, the best route to take to Westhill from the Granite City is by heading west on the A944.
