Fraserburgh
Famous for its shellfish, Fraserburgh is a bustling fishing port that also boasts a golden sandy beach that has been given “excellent” status by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency and is popular for surfers. You can even book some lessons at the nearby surf school if you want to give it a go.
Museum of Scottish Lighthouses tells the great story of the Northern Lighthouse Board, the engineers who built the lights and the keepers who tended them. You can also visit Kinnaird Head Castle and tour the Kinnaird Head Lighthouse, all in one place.
From cycling and walking, or playing golf at Fraserburgh Golf Course, Fraserburgh offers so much to see and do for those looking to discover the Aberdeenshire Coast.
Getting There
Head north from Aberdeen by car via the A90. There is an available bus route operated by Stagecoach.
Nearby towns include Rosehearty, St Combs and Pennan.
