Banchory

If you’re looking to escape the bustle of city life, a visit to the untouched Falls of Feugh in Banchory is a must. The spectacular falls are where salmon return each year to power upstream in the fast-flowing snow-fed waters of the River Dee and River Don.

Banchory, in Royal Deeside, is a place to roam free amongst great hills, explore wide landscapes or simply enjoy a relaxing stay in a fine hotel or lodge in the depths of the Scottish countryside. Woodend Barn, in the heart of the town, is an intimate space staging some of the area’s most sought after traditional and contemporary events.

The enchanting Crathes Castle, a 16th century fairy-tale like castle, can also be found close to Banchory. In the grounds, you can swing through ancient forests on the treetop adventure course, Go Ape, or explore one of the many walking trails through the great estate.
