Intelligence, acrobatic ability and good looks, bottlenose dolphins have it all. Watch them from the high vantage point of Torry Battery in Aberdeen, where you'll discover panoramic views of the harbour mouth and North Sea. The harbour mouth is one of the best places in Europe to spot bottlenose dolphins and Scotland is home to the largest in the world! You may also spot other marine mammals like seals or even whales.

RSPB staff and volunteers will be on site to welcome you and provide information from Thursday to Sunday, 11am-6pm (weather permitting). Head to the Torry Battery car park where telescopes and binoculars will be provided to help you spot the dolphins. On very wet and/or windy days, look out for the Dolphinwatch team in the Maritime Museum or the Science Centre where they will be offering information and indoor activities related to marine wildlife.

The Dolphinwatch team run special event weekends throughout the length of the project. Find out more via their social media channels.

Dolphinwatch is a ScottishPower Foundation, and Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) funded project, led by RSPB Scotland in partnership with Aberdeen City Council, with Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC), and the Aberdeen Harbour Board with telescopes and binoculars supplied by Viking Optics.
