Potarch Cafe & Restaurant

Ballogie Estate is a local food producer and the team at Potarch work with the wildlife rangers and farmers to create plates from our forests and farmland.

Our team are skilled butchers, bakers and baristas. The former Head of Coffee for Allpress Espresso, serves specialty coffee from our La Marzocco.

SPECIALITY COFFEE

Specialty coffee is the highest grade of coffee available. We use the Allpress Espresso signature blend. Why? We love the balanced, clean flavours that are developed from their hot air-roasting technology. Chocolate, caramel, and candied citrus round off every shot of espresso. Our Thomas was their Head of Coffee, and spent years helping to select coffee from all over the world and train baristas to get the best out of their blends and brews. It was a no-brainer for us to turn to the team at Allpress Espresso London, they’re world renowned for a reason!

WILD VENISON

All of our venison is wild and sourced directly from Ballogie’s forests and moorland. It is nutritious and lean, making it a healthier red meat option. In line with conservation efforts, deer management is an active part of the wildlife teams’ responsibility to protect our farmland, native species and ecosystem. Stalking for hours on foot at dawn or dusk takes skill and patience, but it also results in a low impact on the environment, which makes it more sustainable. The rangers deliver the venison to our butcher and chef at Potarch. The whole process is only a 2-person supply chain that takes place within a 5 miles radius. We love this high quality product, you’ll find some firm favourites in our signature plates.
