Salmon Fishing: The River Dee, one of the world’s best spring salmon rivers, flows through Glen Tanar. Its crystal-clear waters host some of Europe’s top fly-fishing pools. Sea trout, arriving in May, are also popular for night fishing. Fishing is available from March 1 to September 30, with a ghillie provided in Spring.

Trout Fishing: Tucked away in the peaceful pine forests of Glen Tanar, the sparkling trout loch offers a fly-fishing experience unlike any other.  Surrounded by heather-clad hills and Caledonian woodland, it's a place where time slows, wildlife stirs, and nature takes stage.  Sessions are available from March to October. Lifejackets provided, but bring your own fishing gear.

Outdoor Activities: Explore Glen Tanar’s trails by foot, bike, or horseback. With miles of paths, it’s perfect for outdoor adventures. You can also tackle Scotland’s most easterly Munro, Mount Keen.
