The dining areas are everything you could hope for - relaxed and inviting with stunning views to the River Dee and countryside beyond.

Banchory Lodge like to champion local suppliers and produce wherever possible. They can even trace their meat back to the farm where it came from.

Sunday Brunch is an all-day affair. Enjoy The Lodge and dress up to enjoy a pre-dinner drink in the bar or dress down and bring the kids. There is a choice of dining areas - outside terrace on sunny days, bar and restaurant.

Menus are changed seasonally using local produce. There is an extensive cocktail menu and they serve flatbreads from an outside oven on the terrace in the summer.

Banchory Lodge has a stunning setting on the banks of the River Dee and is perfectly positions for exploring Royal Deeside at its very best. With a patchwork of rolling fields, ancient woodlands and of course the river. Close to the hotel is the tumbling Falls of Feugh where salmon can be spotted leaping up the river in winter and spring.

Royal Deeside is a playground for outdoor types and provides the perfect backdrop. There is cycling along the old ancient railway line close to the hotel and a number of great golf courses. You can Horse-ride, shoot and even fish on the beat in front of the hotel. Hill walkers will enjoy nearby Scolty Hill or for higher speaks at Cairn O'Mount or the Cairngorms.

There are lots of lovely art galleries in Royal Deeside as well as a performing arts centre called Woodend Barn where there are events, music, theatre, dance and a cinema.

Traditional Scottish architecture is showcased nearby at two National Trust for Scotland castles - Crathes and Drum. Balmoral Castle and Birkhill are about 30 minutes along the road.

Each of the 28 ensuite rooms at Banchory Lodge have been individually designed and styled and have their own personality. They all offer comfy beds and crisp linen for a good night's sleep. They have different bedrooms for every mood. Some have period features out to their terrace and some have stunning views out to the river. All the bedrooms have been recently renovated and refurbished using Scottish interior designs.
