It’s all about getting hands-on this week in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire with science, comedy, art, local produce and a walking tour too! Here’s my top events not to miss this week:
Haddo Arts Festival – our bodies’ imprint
Go on a trail of 10 new installations across famous Haddo House – in forests, in ovpen grassland and on pathways! The installations explore the impact of humanity on the landscape.
Date: 1-28 October 2017. Location: Haddo House, Aberdeenshire
Pick up some locally produced treats at our popular outdoor market this week. The market will be selling the best of our fish, beef, wild game, cheese, Scottish wines, craft beers as well as a selection of plants!

Discovery night at Aberdeen Science Centre
Get hands on with science, watch shows and stand-up science and play science games, at this open evening!
Date: Friday 29 September 2017. Time: 4-8pm. Location: Aberdeen Science Centre
Laugh-out-loud all night long as Breakneck Comedy takes on Pitmedden!
Date: Friday 29 September 2017. Time: 8pm. Location: Ellon, Aberdeenshire
Take a walking tour of Aberdeen city centre and learn all about Aberdeen’s social history, its quirky inhabitants and how it got to where it is today!
Date: Saturday 30 September 2017. Time: 12.30pm. Location: Mercat Cross, Castlegate, Aberdeen
