Jump into June

We've had such a bright and warm May that we can only hope June continues to be just as energising because we've got a whole lot of fun events coming up in June, many of which you can enjoy in the great outdoors. Here is our top events this June:

 

What better way to start the summer than a music festival? Enjoy Music Festival will return to Hazlehead Park from 1-2 June. With great music, a carnival, food village and more, Enjoy Music Festival has your entertainment covered this summer.

Foodies can rejoice as Taste of Grampian returns to Thainstone Centre in Inverurie. Your chance to sample food and drink from across North-east Scotland. Celebrity Chefs, live music, street performers and demonstrations make this mouth-watering event a fun day out for the whole family.

Watch giant inflatable ducks race on the River Dee at Ballater Duck Festival. Meander round over 70 food, craft and charity stalls on the village green while enjoying the music and scenery in Royal Deeside.

Here’s something to check off the bucket list: Going to a music festival at a Scottish Castle. A ‘posh T in the Park’, Fyvie Live features music from Dirty Harry Blondie Tribute, The Wynntown Marshals, Joel Gardner and headlining the event is British country music duo Ward Thomas.

Prepare to laugh your socks off as one of the UK’s best loved comedian’s Michael Mcintyre performs in Aberdeen for two nights.

Look Again Visual Art & Design Festival aims to challenge how the Granite City is viewed and encourages its audience to be a tourist in their own city. Expect street-art, walking artworks, playable structures and even an exclusive festival ice-cream.

Look Again 2019 

Head over to Paul Lawrie Golf Centre for this professional golf event. Hosted by former Open Champion and Aberdeen’s very own, Paul Lawrie, the ASI Scottish Par 3 takes place over two days. Booking is not required for this event so make sure to stop by and watch the pros at work.

No trip to Scotland is complete without a trip to the Highland Games. An integral part of the Scottish culture - the highland games is a traditional events which include piping, highland dancing and this year it's hosting the Scottish tug-o-war championship.

Another fantastic event for golf lovers. The Amateur Championships will take place at Royal Aberdeen and Murcar Links where over 280 golfers from more than 30 countries will compete over six days.

We love a beer festival, don’t you? Midsummer Beer Happening sees almost 5,000 beer and festival lovers descend to Stonehaven to enjoy a phenomenal range of brews and food. But this isn’t just any festival, last year Midsummer Beer Happening raised £27,500 for local charities from the proceeds of the festival.

The STBF welcomes up to 16,000 people to the village of Portsoy for the celebration of the region’s cultural heritage. Enjoy competitive racing and sailing, fresh cooked food and welcoming locals as the event celebrates its 25th anniversary. Click here to enter our competition to win a family pass to the event.
