With 2024 coming to an end, it’s time to celebrate with a bang! From street festivals to Scottish traditions, a spectacular Hogmanay in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire awaits you!
Be wowed at Stonehaven Fireballs
As the midnight bells chime across Stonehaven, locals and visitors will be welcoming the new year with the unique and beloved Stonehaven Fireballs. Watch as the dark December sky lights fiercely with flaming balls spun in the air in a parade of forty people.
Ring in the bells at Pittodrie House’s
Say farewell to 2024 with the Hogmanay celebration at Pittodrie House. Get your glad rags on and be ready for a night of celebration, including a delicious 4 course dinner, followed by entertainment and a bagpiper to ring in the bells.
Catch a family pantomime in the city
There’s still time to continue the festive celebrations by laughing the afternoon or evening away at a traditional pantomime. If you're in the city, then you can enjoy a viewing of Beauty and the Beast at The Tivoli, suitable for all the family.
Hogmanay Ceilidh
There’s nothing more Scottish than a Hogmanay Ceilidh! Head to Ballater for their annual Hogmanay dance with Graham Mitchell Ceilidh band. The event starts at 8pm until 12:30am, don’t forget to bring your own bottle and glasses!
Celebrate in style at The Fife Arms
Why not indulge in a three-night-stay filled with celebration at The Fife Arms? Start off your New Year’s Eve celebrations with bubbles, canapes, and a four-course dinner in the stunning Clunie Dining Room, before bringing in the bells with a midnight fireworks display.
New Year’s Day will begin with a hearty Scottish breakfast and Buck’s Fizz or Bloody Marys with a Highland feast served later allowing you the full day to relax with a good book next to the fire or explore the surrounding landscapes with friends and family

Party the night away with live music
Head into the heart of the city and party the night away into the small hours. From The Blue Lamp “blues” Hogmanay party, the OGV Taproom Hogmanay Celidh, to the high energy duo KIMMIC at Unit 51, and the many pubs and cocktail bars, the choice is endless.
